I, too, cannot believe that misery is part of "the plan." That's why I think I'm attracted to Bhuddism though do not practice it much as I lack the discipline/am too hyper to sit through more than one meditation session a month (yes -- I totally lack the discipline to meditate on a regular basis and the closest sangha is 100 miles UP A HILL out here!). Oy!!! Well, gotta go but have to tell you that your entries are strangely comforting and funny : )

Best sunset ever was in the Yucca Valley in CA. There are never clouds there, but for some reason, there was and when the sunset between the mountains, it was as if the sunlight ignited the clouds into bursts of pink/orange flames....Absolutely amazing

Well...free will mandates that God doesn't go out and change everything. For instance -- someone steals your car. That's bad. Why didn't God stop it? Well, how would God have stopped it? By making it so that the person who stole your car couldn't decide to steal your car? It would impede upon that person's will. On an entirely different note, your main graphic reminds me of one on http://www.avg.com.

Could you make sense of this entry for me? I need a second opinion.

You can't tell me you're all that surprised about that Middle East stuff you linked to. {Note that many of the same men, with the exception of the Clinton years, have been really running government policy at the highest levels since 1980 at least. Reagan and Bush I were so great, too...}

I'll have more to say about the wonderful "highway signs" entry later, but for now, I'd just like to point out that your archives page is still showing the "THIEF" graphic. If nothing else, a little more spring-induced optimism is something I'm glad to hear about. I'll be back.

Of course you're right and what you clarified in my guestbook is what you wrote before. Sorry I didn't go back and check, I really did know that. Four other things: it's not your fault it looks like you're writing a lot in there, it's the others who don't write {pity party anyone? :P}; you aren't sounding pretentious to me; always worry about making sense, but here I think you have succeeded; when I get a chance, I'll email you with a thought I had about a diaryland project.
